Overfly
If an operator intends to perform a Non-schedule flight or a series of Non-scheduled flights into the Union of Myanmar
for the purpose of overflying, he shall apply to:

... including information in the following order:-
- Name of the operator and the mailing / billing address;
- Type of aircraft and registration marks;
- Full itinerary on schedule including point of departure, point of destination, date and time of overflight;
- Purpose of overflight ( Passenger or Cargo ) or freight, if Cargo and freight, to declare of Cargo / freight;
- Consignee / consignor or charterer;
- Contact person, Telephone Number, Fax number, Email Address (if applicable), SITA address (if applicable), AFTN address (if applicable).
Landing
If an operator intends to perform a non-schedule landing flight or a series of flights, the requirement are the
same as overflying but with the following information in addition.
- Local sponsor’s name and address.
- Landing permission is to be requested 14 days in advance.
- If passenger-charter flights, list names and nationality of passengers.
- If cargo-charter flight, type and nature of cargo is to be declared together with consignee/consignor.
Terms and Conditions
- during weekdays, a request for overflight permission may be made in advance of 7 days and during
weekend, may be made in advance of 9 days.
- that technical landing ( no overnight ) at Yangon International Airport may be requested in advance of 9 days and if
overnight to be requested in advance of 14 days.
- that technical landing at Mandalay International Airport and other domestic airports ( without overnight ) may be made in
advance of 14 days and if overnight may be made in advance of 21 days.
- that operators are to include billing address for each overflight request.
- landing/overflight permission for diplomatic flights are to be made through diplomatic channel i.e.
embassy.
- as for inclusive tour charter flight ( package tour ), landing permission is to be requested either
through tour agent or local agent in advance of 45 days.
- overflight permission for VFR flight is to be made in advance of 14 days and landing permission may be
requested in advance of 21 days and to fly on established VFR routes only.
- agents acting on behalf of airlines operators are to obtain update information from the
nearest International NOTAM Office of Civil Aviation Authority concerned.
