Issuance of additional orders/directives and/or instructions

In accordance with Section 5 (A) paragraph (c) of the Myanmar Aircraft Act 1934 the President has authorized the DGCA to exercise on his behalf any of his powers or duties under the Act, other than the power to make rules under the Act.

Such powers include the power for the DGCA to issue necessary orders, notices, requirements and directives or instructions, such as the Myanmar Airworthiness Notices, Flight Operations Notices and Advisory Circulars for the regulation and management of civil aviation.

Powers for the DGCA to issue orders, directives or instructions are also contained in the following legislation:-

a) the Myanmar Aircraft Act 1934;
b) Notification 118/2009 dated 9th October, 2009;
