Examinations: Flight Dispatcher

Course Objective

The primary objective of the course is to broaden the knowledge and experience of participants both in theory and some practices so as to enable them to get deal with the flight dispatching and operation in the aviation industry.

Curriculum

The course contents includes the followings:-
  • Composition and Work of ICAO / Air Law;

  • Aviation English;

  • ATS Airspace and Special Use Airspace;

  • Basic Air Navigation;

  • Flight Planning and NOTAM;

  • Aviation Meteorology;

  • Emergency Procedures;

  • Enhanced Technology Know-how.

Course Duration

6 Weeks

Course Capacity

A maximum of 15 trainees can be accommodated in the course.


Pre-requisites

  • Trainees should have some background knowledge of Flight Operation or Flight Dispatching.
  • Be proficient in the English Language.

Examinations

Trainees are required to sit for the respective examinations on following subjects:-

  • ICAO Organization and Air Law;

  • Basic Air Navigation;

  • ATS Airspace and special use airspace;

  • Flight Planning and NOTAM;

  • Aviation Meteorology;


Certificates

  • A certificate of successful completion of the course will be awarded to trainees who obtain at least 70% of the total of 100 marks of each paper.

  • Those who do not obtain at least 70% of the total of 100 marks of each paper but whose attendance has been regular will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
